Biography
Midwest
NLP, Inc. began as an idea, and like many
ideas became a reality when the owner, Jim
Accetta realized that to live his dream, he
must pursue his passion of helping people
to get what they want, to live their dreams,
and to help create a world that people want
to belong.

Jim
discovered NLP in the early 1980’s
when NLP was still in its infancy. Then,
as a Clinically Certified Substance
Abuse Counselor and Family Therapist,
Jim incorporated NLP and hypnosis in
his individual, group and family work.
Jim expanded his use of NLP into the
areas of interviewing and program development
before moving into the area management
and small business development in the
early 1990’s. Jim spent the next
14 years incorporating NLP in the development
of small businesses, staff training,
policy writing, organizational development
and marketing.
In
the late 1990’s, Jim turned his
attention back to training and development
in the field of NLP and Hypnosis. Jim
focused intensely on individual work
through coaching and hypnosis, as well
as developing his role as a trainer
and author in the NLP field.

Jim
enjoys time with his family, friends, reading,
writing and martial arts. When working, Jim
spends his time learning and developing his
skills and advancing the field of NLP. Jim’s
vision for Midwest NLP, Inc. is “…
to help bring NLP into the mainstream of society,
where people from all walks of life can experience
the magic and power that NLP offers us all.”.
Jim currently provides training to individuals
and groups, as well as maintaining a private
coaching and hypnosis practice. Jim is involved
in the following organiations: The Chicago
Chapter American Society for Training and
Development (CCASTD) The Chicago Organizational
Development Network (ODN), The Chicago Organizational
Development Institute Chapter (CODIC) President
Elect, Coaches Elite-Toastmasters International,
International Coaching Federation (ICF), and
Coachville, while still maintaining some volunteer
work in the substance abuse and dependency
field.
